This documentary is an attempt to sensitively show a glimpse into the lives of two Syrian refugee families living in Canada, and see how they are thriving in their new homes with the help of some folks who sponsored them, and that have helped give them a community to lean on in what can be a very difficult process.

Approached by a local organization to make this film, director Rob Viscardis was excited, but from the beginning he was concerned about being sensitive to the stories and lives of the families that would eventually participate in the film, so as to not make them feel disempowered or tokenized- tricky waters to navigate as a storyteller within the scope of a project such as this that is not that big.

This film will play in parish communities around the country, and has now been released online.
