Rob Viscardis is a versatile filmmaker early in his career who began his career as a musician performing original music around Canada while doing occasional film work. In 2012, Rob became a full-time filmmaker and editor, and has since worked on many short and feature documentary projects including his latest ‘Town of Widows (2019)’ which he co-directed, shot and edited, and which premiered on CBC Docs POV. His previous feature length work was “Last Beer at the Pig’s Ear” (2018), which picked up best documentary at the Hollywood Independent Filmmakers Festival. Rob has worked on a dynamic array of productions in addition to documentaries, including dramatic feature films, television series, music videos and commercial work. He is a member of the Documentary Organization of Canada, and is an Associate Member of the Canadian Cinema Editors Association. Rob co-founded the production company ParadigmPictures.tv producing original content in addition to collaborating with other production companies, agencies, artists and clients. His experience as a musician has given him a unique perspective on the language of sound and vision in film and working with musicians and composers.
